Command & Conquer Cheats

(Note: People tell me about these cheats, some I have not tried. The ones that I KNOW work have a "smiley" - :) - after the text. The ones that I figured out myself have a red smiley :).)

To be able to build any type of GDI or NOD unit in a multiplayer game:

1. Open the data fork of the "CONQUER.INI" file (in the Preferences folder) using a hex editor. (ReadHex can be found on my files page.)

2. Locate the text "Side=" followed by a "0", "1", or "2".

3. Change the number to "3".

(Note: Be sure to make a backup copy of the origional CONQUER.INI file before editing!!)

This cheat does NOT work on the internet via Westwood Chat.

:)

To be able to play full version games with the demo:

YOU CAN PLAY FULL VERSION C&C MISSIONS AND PLAY ON ANY SIDE YOU WANT!!! The way you do this is to play a savedgame from the following levels of the full version:

SCG01EA

SCG10EA

SCG05EA

Open the savedgame, and thats it!

:)

How to play your own missions if you've got the demo:

You create the mission. You can be playing any side you want (i.e. NOD, GDI, Civy...)

Then, you MUST save the BIN and INI files as one of the following

SCG01EA

SCG10EA

SCG05EA

Examples:

I wish to have this level be the first demo mission, so i chose SCG01EA. I began making my mission. Once finished, I put SCG01EA.BIN and SCG01EA.INI in the C&C folder. Then, I open the C&C Demo. I click on new game, and i'm done!

I wanted this level to be the second mission of the C&C demo, so I chose SCG10EA. I began making my mission. Once finished, I put SCG10EA.BIN and SCG10EA.INI in my C&C folder. I loaded the C&C Demo. I loaded the second demo mission. I clicked on options. I restarted the mission, and I was done.

You get a new harvester everytime you build a refinery. This can be used to your advantage when you don't have the ability to build harvesters. Sell your refinery and build a new one. The cost of the harvester will be the purchase price ($2000) minus the selling price ($300), for a total of $1700.

:)
To play the dinosaur campaigns:

1. Open the application using a resource editor.

2. Open the Wset resource (there should only be one).

3. In the second field title "Unused", change the existing value to "$7B".

4. Save your changes.

5. Launch the application and begin a NOD campaign.

Note: Some features, such as loading saved games and network play, may be disabled in the dinosaur campaigns.

:)
Sandbag fun:

The computer will not intentionally destroy sand bags. You can encircle

its base, or specifically a refinery, with sandbags and it will

never be able to collect on its tiberium.

I've built sand bags all the way from my base to the enemy base, it does

nothing about it. Yes, it does take the fun out of it but if your

looking at this you wanted to cheat anyway.

(Note: You can encircle anybuilding, and it will keep that building from working, unless it is a defensive building such as a Gaurd Tower. Also, you can do it with chain link fences, concrete walls, and, if you can build them, barbed wire and wood fence.)

:)
If you put a unit on the repair pad (no infantry, of course), click the

sell button, and move the cursor over the unit, a little green $ will appear instead of a rotating golden one.

You can sell the unit for half-price.

This is great for getting some money when you are done with one side of

a map and a river seperates you from the rest. Instead of abandoning

all, sell them and cross the river with a Transport Helicoptor with a

Engineer - capture an enemy building and build all around it. Now you

have a new base!

:)
To sell infantry:

1: Build a barrier (Sandbags, Chain links, Walls)

2: Move an infantry unit(s) next to the barrier

3: Click the sell button

4: Move it next to the barrier

5: Slowly move it to the infantry

6: Click the mouse

7: It's sold!!

(Note: You know that you can click and sell the infantry when you stop the mouse for awhile and the words come up... it should say the name of the infantry, that is when you click the mouse.)

:)
If you hold the control key (alt) while starting a

new game, all the panels (red wood pieces) will be available.

(Note: I have not tried this.)
